Basketry NSW has been invited by the Australian Design Centre (ADC) to showcase our diverse work in their Saturday Marketplace. The ADC is in the heart of Sydney and supports the work of craftspeople and designers.

Primrose Park Exhibition & Open Day
The month of June will see another group exhibition showcasing the works of all groups that meet at Primrose Park Art & Craft Centre. The theme for the exhibition is “Forces of Nature”.

Winterfest

Annual Basketry Exhibition
The annual Basketry NSW exhibition runs for the month of August on the mezzanine level of the Primrose Park Art and Craft Centre in Cremorne. All members are encouraged to submit work for exhibit according to the theme.

Craft Week
The 9th annual Sydney Craft Week Festival will run from 10-19 October 2025. Ten days of making, stimulating exhibitions and events and inspiring conversations about craft in all its forms for Sydney's designer makers, craft community and craft lovers. More information soon.
Information Session: Copyright and Intellectual Property in Basketry
At the regular Friday meeting in May, we will be joined by representatives from the Arts Law Centre. We have asked them to specifically respond to questions about intellectual property and copyright as these pertain to Basketry. There will be an opportunity to ask questions on the day.
The information session will start at 11am and run for an hour or so.

Ghana Basket Weaving Workshop
In this workshop you will learn how to weave a small basket using traditional Ghana basket weaving techniques. We use recycled Ghanaian fabric and recycled plastic from Ghana that has been woven into twine.

Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail
